Tại cuộc họp báo Chính phủ ngày 6-3, Thống đốc Ngân hàng Nhà nước (NHNN) Nguyễn Văn Bình đã tuyên bố sẽ giảm một điểm phần trăm tất cả các loại lãi suất trong vài ngày tới. Như vậy, trần lãi suất huy động sẽ hạ từ mức 14% xuống còn 13%. Theo đó, lãi suất cho vay cũng sẽ giảm. Quyết định này sẽ có tác động khá mạnh đến thị trường tiền tệ trên các phương diện như sự dịch chuyển của dòng vốn, tác động lên tỷ giá, lạm phát, tăng trường kinh tế...
