The Hanoi Department of Customs, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) and Maritimebank officially opened VAT refund stands for foreign visitors leaving the country at the Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat international airports on July 1. The pilot program will implement Decision 05/2012/QD-TTg on the refunding of value-added tax (VAT) for goods purchased by foreigners in Vietnam when exiting the country.
