Ha Noi records 10 percent GDP growth in first quarter (24/3)

Ha Noi has recorded an estimated 10 percent GDP growth rate in the first quarter of this year as compared to the same period last year, the Ha Noi Statistics Department reported.
The industry-construction sector registered a year-on-year growth of 12 percent, contributing 5.4 percent to the common growth.
Meanwhile, the services sector achieved an increase of 8.9 percent, contributing 4.7 percent to the common growth.
The foreign invested sector is estimated to obtain a year-on-year increase of 31.2 percent in production value.
However, the agro-forestry sector, which was affected by the impacts of the bird flu outbreak and rapid urbanisation, saw its production value drop 3.1 percent as compared to the same period last yearSource: VNAgency, 24/3/2006
