Four-month export turnover up 25.1% (03/05)

Vietnam’s January-April export turnover reached US $12.11 billion, accounting for 32.1% of the year’s targeted figure and up 25.1% against the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

Most notably, exports of all 20 product groups increased.

Export turnover of crude oil exports topped the list with 15.6% year-on-year growth. Coal exports reached 62.1% of the year’s targeted figure in terms of quantity, up 70.4% against the same period last year, and 47.8% increase in terms of turnover.

Garments and textiles exports registered an year-on-year increase of 38.7%. Seafood exports ranked fourth in terms of export turnover and enjoyed 6.4% growth.
