Vietnam likely to lead ASEAN in GDP growth (11/5)

The report predicted that Vietnam's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will likely increase between 7.6 and 8% in 2006, the highest level in Southeast Asia and the second-highest in Asia following China.

The KRC said that Vietnam and Thailand are among the top rice exporters in the world. Over the past decade, Vietnam's rice export turnover has increased by fourfold, and it is expected to exceed Thailand in the next 14 years if the country continues to maintain its current average growth rate of 20% per year.
