PM approves master plan for industrial park development by 2020

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a master plan for the development of industrial parks by 2015 and a vision for 2020.
The master plan aims to form a system of key industrial parks to take the lead in the development of Vietnam’s industrial sector.
Under the decision, industrial parks will be operating at maximum capacity by 2010. They must have wastage treatment systems and green trees to safeguard the environment.
By 2015, the total area of industrial parks will reach 65,000-70,000 hectares, and 60 percent of industrial parks will be filled.
By 2020, a network of industrial parks will be completed with a total area of 80,000 hectares.
