Meeting to Introduce the Working Team for Investment Law and Enterprises Law Enforcement

Mr. Dinh Van An, Standing Deputy Chief of the working team, President of Central Institute for Economic Management, announced the full-text of the Decision, and other related Decisions issued by the Minister of MPI regarding the designation of regular activities for the Team’s members, and the setting up a secretariat assisting the working team. At the meeting, the Team’s members discussed and provided contributive ideas for the team’s Draft Working Regulation, Draft Action Plan for ending months of 2006 and Vision for 2007.


On concluding the meeting, the Chief of the working team emphasized obligations and responsibilities of the team as an assisting group for the Prime Minister to direct the enforcement of the two laws; thereby, making contribution to the common cause of creating a clear, favourable business and investment environment for entrepreneurs and investors of all economic sectors, further attracting domestic and foreign investment, and making contribution to the implementation of national socio-economic development plans.

Centered tasks of the working team during ending months of 2006 are as follows:

- To monitor, support, and speed up the drafting of legal documents guiding Investment Law and Enterprise Law implementation by authorized agencies;

- To accelerate the control and review of business licenses which are constraints to investment and business activities;

- To supervise and support strong state investment management decentralization as regulated by the Law on Investment and the Decree providing guidance for the Law enforcement;

- To hold nationwide propaganda and training programs, particularly online programs, on the implementation of Investment Law and Enterprise Law.

The Working Regulation and the Action Plan are expected to be issues in some days.

In the time to come, Vietnam Economic Portal (www.vnep.org.vn) will provide regular information about activities of the working team. VNEP will also play a role of a channel for the working team to access information, and to hold online talks on the enforcement of the two laws.
