Ha Noi aims for 12 percent GDP in 2007

Ha Noi targets a GDP growth rate of over 12 percent with higher growth quality and competitive edge in 2007.
It also targets an increase of 20 percent in export value and a rise of 18 to 20 percent in social investment this year.
The capital city will focus on administrative reform as its foremost task in the year together with further improving investment environment and intensifying the fight against corruption and wastefulness and the practice of thrift.
It will also concentrate on building urban areas and socio-cultural affairs.
In the year, Ha Noi will call for investment for the building of a finance-banking centre at the new urban area to the west of the West Lake and a 200-ha trade-exhibition centre to the north of the Hong (Red) river.
