New record in PIT payment: VND3.5bil (21/03)

new record in personal income tax (PIT) payment has been made. The Vietnamese top PIT payer has paid the tax sum of VND3.5bil ($218,750) to the HCM City Taxation Department.
The HCM City Taxation Department said that the list of individuals who pay high PIT has been lengthening. To date, the Vietnamese individual who pays the highest PIT has declared income and paid the tax sum of $218,750, breaking the record of $180,000 paid by Le Thi Minh Hoa, who was reported by mass media.
Two foreigners have been leading the high tax payers. One of the two paid VND7bil ($437,500) in tax. The other has Swiss citizenship, working for the representative office of Tetra Pak South East Company, had paid VND6.2bil ($387.500).
Regarding the PIT payment of the artist circle, only three stars have to pay the tax sums of more than VND100mil, including Ho Ngoc Ha (VND180mil or $11,250), Dam Vinh Hung (VND132mil or $8,250) and Lam Truong (VND137mil or $8,562). Meanwhile, other artists all paid less than VND80mil ($5,000).
