Garment and textiles earned $1.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30 percent; wood products, $548 million, 25 percent; electronics and computer components, $441 million, 17 percent; and plastics, $144 million, 48.5 percent.

However, earnings from exports of crude oil declined by 14.7 percent due to a reduction in prices.

In the reviewed period, the Trade Ministry said that the country had grossed $1.26 billion from services exports, a year-on-year increase of 14.5 percent.

In total, Vietnam posted nearly $10.5 billion in export turnover in the first quarter of this year, marking a year-on-year increase of 18 percent.
