The Steering Board will oversee the compilation of the scheme on the reforms of salary, social insurance and social welffares for the people who deserve support from the country to be suitable to the market economy and intenational integration.
In addition, the board is in charge of reviewing, evaluting the implementation results of the salary, social insurance and social welfare policy in the 2003-2007 period.
The board will be headed by a Vice Prime Minsiter and have three deputy heads who are the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Social, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance.
Members of the board comprise of the ministers of Justice, Planning and Investment, Health, Chairman of the Vietnam Labour Confederation, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Organising Board and many other ministers.
The Head of the board is responsible for issuing the Regulations on organisation and operations and the combination mechanism with member ministries and organisations. Firstly, the board will establish a working group to implement the reforms of salary policy.
