Deputy PM: finance sector should be modernised

Between 2007-2008, the sector should concentrate on developing financial markets, including the securities, capital and real estate markets, which, he said, would help increase the State budget and facilitate businesses’ operations.
The finance sector must formulate suitable financial institutions in the period of international integration as well as build social policy to ensure social security, Hung said.
According to Finance Minister Vu Van Ninh, in the year’s remaining months, the sector will focus on the control of price hike in order to keep the consumer price index (CPI) at 8 percent.
The Deputy PM also urged the sector to pay close attention to the State budgets.
