Some 11 percent of the surveyed transnational groups confirmed that Viet Nam will be their most attractive destination in the coming years. The county sits behind China (52 percent), India (41percent), the United States (36 percent), Russia (22 percent) and Brazil (12 percent).

Viet Nam is increasingly considered an attractive location for efficiency seeking FDI. The country appears to be poised to become an important site for manufacturing FDI, according to the UNCTAD survey published on October 17.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment of Viet Nam reported that last year the country attracted up to 10.2 billion USD of FDI and 4.1 billion USD was disbursed.
