The Department of Foreign Investment said of the amount, 46.3 billion USD came from 772 newly-licensed projects which represented a five time rise in capital value although the number of projects was equal to only 79.2 percent of last period’s figure.

During the period, 210 current FDI projects were allowed to increase capital with a total of 833.6 million USD.

In August alone, the nation licensed 118 FDI projects worth more than 1.8 billion USD.

The department also said that foreign-invested businesses earned a turnover of 30.4 billion USD in the reviewed period, a year-on-year increase of 33.1 percent.
