What is the significance of the 8th UNESCO World Congress to Vietnam as the host country?
The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations (VFUA) has close ties with the worldwide UNESCO non-governmental network and is an official member of the Asia-Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations (AFUCA) and the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations (WFUCA). For years now, the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations has actively joined UNESCO non-governmental activities worldwide and has received strong support and trust from foreign countries. For this reason, the 8th UNESCO World Congress has great significance to not only Vietnam, but also VFUA because this will also be the 30th anniversary of the foundation of WFUCA. It will be a good time for Vietnam to look back at the development path of the UNESCO non-governmental movement worldwide, which has been led by WFUCA, gathering people and experts worldwide to support UNESCO's noble mission of peace and progress.
As for Vietnam, this will be an important international event and a good time for Vietnam to show itself to the world and raise its political position in the international arena. This will also be an opportunity for VFUA to show its hospitality and responsibility to the international people's movement. The congress will be organized following the initiatives and contributions of VFUA members, society and the business community.
What is about the seminar to present Vietnamese projects, businesses and businesspeople?
The Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors (VACD) and VFUA will organize the seminar from August 19-20 hosting almost 500 delegates from governmental organizations, businesses, economic organizations and business associations in Vietnam and foreign countries, to effectively promote investment cooperation for millennium development, increase mutual understanding and contribute to the goals of investment cooperation and development. The seminar will present participants including businesses and organizations to international delegates and guests who are businesspeople and representatives of international economic, financial and banking groups. It will also present projects, products and services and call on investors to invest or cooperate in production projects. The seminar will also create opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses and organizations to seek and enhance investment ties. The seminar will nominate the best businesses and businesspeople for WFUCA's award of Sustainable Development Business campaign medals.
What are the goals of the seminar?
One of the goals for the seminar set by the Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors is to support the Vietnamese business community in building a foundation for sustainable development, increased cooperation and business investment connection. The organizing board expected that the seminar will offer a rare opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to meet and cooperate with international companies and partners that are experienced in running businesses and projects (particularly those who are financially strong and are looking to invest in Vietnam). Meanwhile, international economic organizations will find new opportunities and make the most of Vietnam's advantages as an emerging, fast-growing market with stable policies and politics.
The organizing board has set up a business advisory sub-committee that will help businesses apply for the participation in the seminar. The sub-committee will process application documents and inform businesses and investors of direct meetings between them. A summary record of the 8th UNESCO World Congress will be published in Vietnamese, English and French and be sent to more than 100 countries that are members of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations./.
