CPI rises 1.25% in January (22/2)

Among 11 groups of products and services used to calculate CPI, 10 saw price hikes.
The price of medicines and charges of healthcare services surged the most – 7.4%.
The prices of food slightly rose by 0.15% while that of foodstuffs went up sharply by 1.96%.
Garments, headwear and footwear increased by 1.3%. Only charges of posts and telecommunications services dropped 0.05%.
The price of gold in January dropped 1.73% and that of US dollar declined 0.08% against December 2012, the Office said./.
