Agro-forestry – fishery exports valued 4.8 billion USD in the first two months (27/2)

Most of main agricultural product exports reduced in volume, but increased in value. However, the coffee exports grew both in volume and value. Coffee exports reached 415,000 tons, valuing 884 million USD, up 22.3% in volume and 38.1% in value compared to the same period in 2012.
Rice exports reached 677,000 tonnes with a value of 310 million USD, year to year increase of 68.2% in volume and decrease of 15.4% in value.
Rubber exports in two months are estimated to be 179,000 tonnes, with a turnover of approximately 518 million USD, down 31.5% in volume but up 16.6% in value. Tea exports are likely to reach 21,000 tonnes, valuing 33 million USD, down 5.7% in volume but up 18.6% in value.
Pakistani continues to be the biggest tea importer from Vietnam with 18.9% market share.
Cassava and cassava products also achieved impressive export growth in two months, with more than 1 million tons, valuing 308 million USD, 3.1 times higher in volume and 55.4% in value than the same period of 2012.
