According to a representative of
Viet Thang Co. Ltd, located in Nam Giang Town, Nam Truc District, Nam
Dinh Province, Dong Coi is a famous traditional plating village. Its
products have been consumed widely across the country. However,
production capacity of local craft villages is low due to limitations in
terms of production premises and production methods, and the
environment is badly affected too. Therefore, the model is expected to
solve both productivity and environmental issues here.
The model has a capacity of
4,000 tonnes of products per year with a total investment capital of
over VND21.195 billion, including VND226.3 million funded from the 2013
national budget via IPC1 to purchase machinery and equipment.
The model applies uncoupled
punching machines in manufacturing non-standard steel structures. These
uncouple punching machines are relatively modern. Although the use of
the machines in this model leads to higher investment capital compared
with traditional production methods, labor productivity doubles,
allowing the company to create high quality and accurate products
meeting strict requirements of customers. In addition, the model also
helps reduce wastage of raw materials, contributing to lower product
prices and better profits.
According to a research
reviewing the efficiency of the model, after stable operation at full
capacity, it will help enterprises to earn average post-tax profits of
over VND2.511 billion per year and take six years to recover the
investment. At the same time, the output products are sticking to big
customers such as the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group
and other construction corporations and companies. These are favorable
conditions that guarantee long-term efficiency of the model.
The model has become a good
example, attracting interest of the provincial enterprises. In the
coming time, IPC1 will also organize a conference to introduce and
expand this model to other units in the province, contributing to
modernizing traditional plating career and boost the development of the
local rural industry.
According to Nguyen Toan Thang,
the Director of IPC1, the model is a feasible and practical project.
Apart from developing production and business of enterprises, it also
creates jobs for over 100 local workers with monthly income per capita
of VND2 million. The model is also significant in terms of social
welfare and contributes a part of tax payments to the state budget./.
