CPI increases by 0.83 percent in August (06/9)

he General Statistical Office recently made public the consumer price index (CPI) this August, which increased by 0.83 percent from the previous month and increased by 7.5 percent from a year ago. The CPI has increased by 3.53 percent so far this year.

Post and telecommunications were the only one among the 11 categories of goods to drop by 0.02 percent in price. Medicines and medical services increased the fastest in price by 4.11 percent, while the remaining categories of goods increased by 0.27-0.9 percent.
The price of gold increased by 0.32 percent from July to August, and the price of the US dollar increased by 0.06 percent. However, these items were not included in the CPI list./.
