Country’s CPI increases 0.23 percent in July (25/07)

The country's CPI in July was up 4.94 percent over the same period last year.
Foodstuff and restaurant services saw an increase of 0.26 percent. Since March, food prices have been on the rise and are forecast to continue going up because of petrol price hike which has lifted transport fees.
Housing, construction materials, electricity, water and fuel were up 0.43 percent over last month.
Other groups of commodities slightly increased. Post and telecommunications was on the seventh consecutive month of CPI reduction, July index closed down 0.01 percent.
Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City’s CIP raised 0.18 percent and 0.12 percent in the same month.
