Vietnamese businesses invest US$20 billion oversea (13/02)

Of the total capital, US$14.85 billion were newly registered and the rest US$4.93 billion was additional.

Twenty one percent of the projects have been invested in Cambodia, nearly 15 percent in Myanmar and 12 percent in Laos. Eleven percent of them come to the U.S. and 8.2 percent to Singapore.

Last year the Ministry of Planning and Investment received documents of 153 oversea investment projects from Vietnamese businesses, and granted licenses to 109 projects in 28 nations and territories with the total registered capital of over US$1.05 billion.

Besides, the ministry permitted investors of 22 projects to increase their investment capital by US$739 billion, taking the total to US$1.79 billion.
