ANZ: Consumer confidence increases in 2015 (27/02)

In term of personal finances now, 58% (up 5%) of Vietnamese said their families will be better off financially this time next year compared to just 7% (up 1%) who expect to be worse off financially.

Over the next 12 months, 58% (up 8%) said that Viet Nam will have good times financially and only 13% (down 1%) expect bad times financially.

Looking further ahead, 66% (up 9%) expect Viet Nam will have good times economically over the next five years, compared to 8% (up 1%) who expect bad times economically.

Glenn Maguire, Chief Economist for South Asia, ASEAN and Pacific at ANZ Research revealed that this year will become a prosperous year for Vietnamese households.

The survey shows that Viet Nam is optimistic to narrow the gap between domestic and external growth rates in 2015.
