The nation earned
US$2.03 billion from exporting to the RoK over the first three months of
2015, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam’s import turnover from the RoK attained US$6.58 billion, up 18.3%, which raised the two-way trade turnover to US$8.61 billion in the first quarter of this year, up 18.1%.
As the Viet Nam-RoK Free Trade Agreement has already been signed, the trade turnover between the two nations is expected to rocket this year.
A RoK researcher stated that when the FTA comes into effect, the RoK’s exports to Viet Nam will remarkably rise and Viet Nam will become one of the RoK’s leading export markets.
