The master plan aims to
form hi-tech parks across the country, contributing to promoting hi-tech
and socio-economic development in localities and regions, improving the
growth model and the economy’s competitiveness, increasing hi-tech
applications in products and quickening national industrialization and
modernization.
Accordingly, until 2030, several new hi-tech parks
under the management of centrally-governed cities and provinces will be
built with local budget and other financial sources in order to attract
further investment in hi-tech sector and stimulate scientific and
technological development nationwide.
Investment will be enhanced to complete
synchronized and modern infrastructure in national hi-tech parks in
Ha Noi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh cities.
The planned three new hi-tech parks include two
biotech parks in Ha Noi and soithern Dong Nai province and a tech park
named Ascendas-Protrade in southern Binh Duong province.
The master plan also comes up with measures to
develop hi-tech parks, including improving policies on the parks,
enhancing management of centrally-governed cities and provinces over the
parks, diversifying financial sources, prioritizing State budget to
complete the national hi-tech parks’ infrastructure, developing human
resources, boosting linkages among the parks to strengthen their
competitiveness.
