Agricultural-aquatic-forestry exports fetch over US$14 bln (29/06)

The nation gained US$6.93 billion from exporting farm products, down 5.7%.

The exports of coffee saw drops of 35.8% and 35.1% in volume and value, respectively. 

Viet Nam only shipped abroad 3.055 million tons of rice, earning US$1.318 billion over the past six months of the year, down 6.2% in volume and 10.5% in value.

China was the largest importer of Viet Nam’s rice in the first five months of the year. Malaysia rose as the third largest importer of the product in the period after sealing deals with 2.84 times higher in volume and 2.33 times higher in value.

54,000 tons of tea were exported in the first half, worth US$90 million, down 4.1% in value. Pakistan remained the largest tea importer of Viet Nam, reporting increases of 49.95% in volume and 49.19% in value.

Among agricultural products, the exports of cashew and cassava saw increases in both volume and value with 150,000 tons and 2.83 million tons, worth US$1.08 billion and US$844 million, respectively.
