The information was announced at the 39th session of the NA Standing Committee (NASC) held in Ha Noi on July 14 under the chairmanship of NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
The committee’s session focused on reviewing outcomes of the NA’s 9th session and discussing preparations for the 10th session.
According to a report by Head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc, the 10th session
will take place in 28 days, in which 18 days will be for legal
construction, including adopting 16 draft laws and discussing
socio-economic issues, oversight activities and other important matters
as usual.
Participants discussed the NA’s
important activities, especially Q&A sessions, which will review the
implementation of resolutions adopted during previous sessions.
Draft laws were requested to be prepared thoroughly
to ensure required contents and avoid repetition. If any draft laws do
not respond to required conditions, they should not be considered,
discussed or approved, Chairman Hung said.
The ninth session was successful, fulfilling planned schedule and ensuring the quality and effectiveness, participants said.
The NA spent much time discussing and adopting 11
laws, nine resolutions while commenting on other 15 draft laws in order
to realize the Constitution. Important draft laws on organization
aspect have laid a legal foundation for improving the efficiency and
performance of the State apparatus and organizations in the political
system.
The NA also made decisions on important issues,
including the Government’s supplemented report on realizing
socio-economic tasks and the State budget in 2014 and first months of
2015, adopted resolution on investing in the Long Thanh International
Airport.
On the same day, the NASC commented on a report by
Chief Justice of the Vietnam Supreme People's Court Truong Hoa Binh on
establishing People’s Courts in several districts and towns under
provinces, among others.
