The Agency reported that 6,598 enterprises were set up between June 20 and July 20, down 29.4% in number in comparison with the previous month.
In the January-July period, the number of newly-established businesses was 52,004, up 22.7% in number. In addition, 12,749 enterprises raised their capital by VND 365,170 billion.
According to the monthly socio-economic report of the General Statistics Office, 32,373 enterprises suspended operation in the first seven months, representing a year-on-year rise of 1.2%.
The outcome showed that despite signs of macro-economic stability, enterprises continued to face numerous challenges, driven by competition pressure, especially globally deep integration ./.
