Science and technology play a very important role in poverty reduction and sustainable development. This was confirmed by our Party as early as in the Political Bureau’s Resolution No. 37-NQ/TW issued in 1981 on policies relating to science and technology. This statement has been repeated in all Party Congresses’ documents, as well as Party Central Committee resolutions and directives.
