Cuối tuần qua các phương tiện truyền thông phản ánh nhiều về Đề án tổng thể tái cơ cấu kinh tế gắn với mô hình tăng trưởng mới. Trước đó, một số nhà kinh tế cũng đề xuất Việt Nam nên chuyển đổi mô hình kinh tế, chú trọng ổn định vĩ mô thay vì tăng trưởng cao, như một chiến lược khắc phục hậu quả cho năm 2013 hoặc xa hơn nữa.

Theo số liệu của tổng cục Thống kê, kim ngạch xuất khẩu hai tháng đầu năm đạt khoảng 18,97 tỉ USD, tăng 23,9% so với cùng kỳ. Kim ngạch nhập khẩu hai tháng ước đạt 17,3 tỉ USD, tăng 10,2% so với cùng kỳ. Tính chung hai tháng năm 2013, nước ta xuất siêu khoảng 1,68 tỉ USD, bằng 8,8% kim ngạch xuất khẩu.
